May the May be with you. :)
I consider May as a transitional month where we slowly get out of our winter/spring cocoon, sliding into warm summer. I often get confused in setting up my wardrobe because of the everchanging weather and my body shape. I end up questioning my outfit choices for everyday work and outdoor vacations. That's when the classic pieces come to my rescue, which always look stylish and let my body feel beautiful and confident everyday.
Transitioning into summer season is tricky because your body is more exposed, you stop layering, and you want to showcase your finest pieces.
Below are the few transitional fashion pieces for summer which I love:
A Classic White Shirt (preferably over-sized): A timeless staple that screams effortless sophistication, the classic white shirt is a versatile piece that can be dressed up or down for any occasion. Choose it for an oversized silhouette for a relaxed, laid-back vibe that pairs perfectly with denim shorts, breezy skirts, or classic jeans.
Brands: H&M, Calvin Klein, Zara, Banana Republic, Amazon, Uniqlo

A Classic White/Black T-shirt: Whether in white or black, or any solid color, a basic t-shirt is a wardrobe essential that never goes out of style. Pair it with your favorite jeans for a casual-cool look, or layer it under a lightweight blazer for a touch of polished elegance.
Brands: Zara, Banana Republic, Amazon, Uniqlo

A Classic Blue Jeans: No summer wardrobe is complete without a pair of classic blue jeans that hug your curves in all the right places. Whether you prefer a slim fit or a relaxed boyfriend style, denim is the ultimate confidence booster that effortlessly transitions from day to night. My current favorite styles are Mom Jeans and Slim Straight Leg Jeans.

A Relaxed Fit Trouser: Live in comfort and style with a pair of relaxed fit trousers in a lightweight fabric like linen or cotton. Perfect for warm summer days, these breezy pants offer a chic alternative to shorts and can be dressed up with a blouse or down with a simple tee. They are a safe choice and the beauty is that they are not just restricted to office/formal look but can be easily styled for a night-out look.
Brands: Zara, Aritzia, Oak + Fort, Amazon

A Cargo Pant: Tap into the utility trend with a pair of cargo pants that combine fashion and function. With their multiple pockets and relaxed silhouette, cargo pants add a cool, utilitarian edge to any summer outfit and are ideal for outdoor adventures or urban exploration. I usually pair them with a fitted tee and finish the look with a baseball cap or a bucket hat.
Brands: Levi's, H&M, Garage, American Eagle, Amazon

A lightweight Blazer: If I have to choose my favorite fashion piece, blazers would win. Throw it over a camisole or tank top or basic tee for instant polish, or pair it with shorts for a sophisticated twist on casual dressing. You see around and blazers are always trending and are specially loved during all the transitioning seasons.

Classic Sneakers, Loafers: I need not to mention this as sneakers/loafers are that last block of the puzzle to finish the whole look. Complete your look with classic sneakers or loafers that offer both style and comfort. Whether you're strolling along the boardwalk or running errands in the city, these versatile shoes are a must-have for any wardrobe. HOWEVER, recently I am crushing over the Fisherman style sandals and Mary Jane sandals a lot. They look very chic and provides equal comfort as sneakers or loafers.
Sandals Brands: Zara, Steve Madden, Asos

A Denim Skirt: I find denim skirts very nostalgic which carry a retro and 90's vibe. Whether mini or midi, distressed or button-front, a denim skirt adds a touch of vintage charm to any summer outfit and pairs perfectly with everything from crop tops to oversized shirts.

From classic staples to contemporary must-haves, these versatile pieces offer endless possibilities for creating the perfect summer wardrobe that makes you look and feel your best. I like to play around the staple pieces to create different looks. I also recommend investing in these classic pieces as they are never specific and you can style them according to your comfort level. I hope you like my curation of these value pieces.
Have a lovely summer...:)
