This blog is about an upcoming oriental cuisine restaurant "One Asia", which is a part of the newly opened property Marriott.
I, along with my fellow bloggers were invited for a pre-opening of One Asia which will be opened in near future.
I have been a regular visitor of this property as I totally adore it's Lobby cafe, "Indore Baking Company", so I was quite excited for this meet up.
Although, the meet was organised at "Indore Kitchen", another great restaurant in the Hotel, as One Asia was on it's finishing stage.

The Hotel is currently hosting an Asian Street Food Festival which turned the theme of the restaurant quite oriental.
I loved how they created the entire atmosphere adoring Asian culture by installing red lamps, umbrellas, small gongs, drapes suspended from ceiling, and lots of warm lighting.
They created a replica of local Asian streets in the outer area of the restaurant, where again it was reflecting true Oriental culture.

I totally loved the cozy hospitality of the entire management team, how they welcomed us and how beautifully they set the table for us.

We were greeted by the General Manager Mr. Devesh Rawat who gave us a crisp brief about the Hotel & their upcoming endeavors. Followed by this, we were welcomed by the Executive Chef Mr. Vivek Kalia & Chef Amandeep Singh.
Finally we went on the delicious ride with Masterchef Kuan Lai, who peculiarly prepared all the dishes for us.
Let me now talk about the Drinks & Food I tried there-
Mango Mocktail

The first thing we were greeted with was this pretty glass of mocktail, which I'd surely take as a summer fighter. The first sip took me back to my old summer days where I used to surround myself with Mango crushers. It was quite a refresher as it had proper balance of mango, mint & ginger.
Thai Red Curry Fish Cakes

They looked quite pretty to my eyes and tasted the same as well. It was my first encounter with fish cakes & I quite liked it specially with it's side salad.
Salad
Gado Gado (Veg)

Again, it totally looked very bright & colorful on the plate. The first thought I had in my mind post looking at it- "Oh, that is surely a plate of summer heaven". The ingredients of this salad were quite new to my taste buds but I really enjoyed eating them. It had rice dices, tofu pieces, lettuce & some amazing sauce dressings.
Mongolian Noodles

I am a die hard of noodles and this rice noodles totally swiped me off my feet. It had rich oriental taste & were cooked to perfection. Rich exotic vegetables just pleased my buds perfectly.
Brinjal With Sambal Oelek

I am a huge Brinjal/Aubergine/Egg Plant fan & I was up on my toe to try this dish. Honestly, I loved the dressing in which it was prepared but I found the pieces half cooked. We inquired about it with the Chef and he filled us by stating that this is the true form of its serving. So, it did not really work well for me as I am used to fine cooked brinjal pieces.
Wok Fry Okra With Chilli Black Bean Sauce

I have never tried tangy tossed Okra in my life and I liked the sauce in which it was prepared. But it had the same case as of the Brinjal, par cooked. So it was again not my buddy for the day. I definitely give high points to the Chilli black bean sauce.
Roti Canai

When served hot, this super soft & fluffy Indian bread gives you extreme comfort, when eaten solo or with any gravy dish. Loved it's texture...
Kari Ayam
This took me straight to Madras, with it's coconut rich gravy. It had tender pieces of chicken, potatoes, and loads of curry leaves. It was served with Jasmine rice and tasted delicious & authentic. I say, such kind of dishes are hard to impress because as long as you are not into sweeter gravies, they will not punch you.

Dessert
Kuih Koci

Ahhhh! I totally loved these sweet Jasmine Sushi shaped rice dumplings, stuffed with palm sugar aka Jaggery.
These were so soft & delicious that they almost melted in my mouth as soon as I took the first bite. Trust me, you will love this dessert as it brings true oriental flavors.
Chocolate Cake

This has no oriental connection and it was a delicious looking chocolate cake with white chocolate layers, topped with white & red chocolate disc candies.

In all, I enjoyed myself in some amazing company of talented people. I got to know some incredible facts about Malaysian cuisines, some exotic Asian Street facts and some interesting food & drinks to taste.
Indore Marriott is going to treat each one of us by introducing this one stop in the name of "One Asia", which is going to turn the city's weather, more delicious & authentic.
I wish good luck to the entire team of Marriott Indore, and totally looking forward for such pretty endeavors.

I would not give all the stars to the dishes served, but all my hearty stars to the SERVICE, AMBIANCE, INTERIORS, GOOD CONCIERGE & FRIENDLY VIBES.
I am going to meet you all soon in my next blog, till then "Eat Healthy, Stay Happy & Take Care", because this is What The World Says!
XOXO..
