Hello everyone!

The first idea that comes to mind with INDORE is City Of Food- this is what I have been hearing since ages, but I never realized it until now. Indore is everything about food, from classics to traditional, from International to complete Deshi.

I am flattered with the way food blogging is catching up a rave in the city which led to another fun blogger's meet that I recently attended.

The Indore Bloggers Association was invited by O2 Cafe De La Ville for a Meet & Talk Blog with Celebrity Chef Shailendra Kekade. They recently played with food menu and turned it out super interesting. If I talk about O2 Cafe, it is one of the famous & pretty cafes of the city. Located in the heart of city, this two storied cafe is plush and quite welcoming. Beautiful walls, LIT furniture, dedicated spaces for groups and couples, mezzanine sittings, a wall dedicated to a giant book shelf & cozy lights.

Almost a year ago, they opened their second roof for the public with an environment full of happy vibes. The interior of this new section was contradicting the already existing contemporary look with its peppy installments. Red colored French doors, artificial vertical garden, asymmetric colored furniture, dramatist walls, and a huge wooden clock adorning a corner.

This meet did not follow the usual steps of getting all the bloggers together on a table (which I really love though), but went out of the box. This time, each blogger was an individual guest with the perk of bringing their loved ones with them, Hurrayyyy!!!

The motive behind this step was to dig out how distinctively the menu was played around by each blogger and their guests. They wanted to percieve the preferences from the people's POV coming for lunch and dinners respectively.

Let's start strolling the dishes-

POPCORN TEMPURA-

The entire new menu is designed by a vivid combination of Indian food with the Non-Indian elements. This quick bite was really interesting to me, specially with its sauce. Deep fried corn nuggets tasted delicious and one can order it with some mocktails along.

CHILLI CHEESE KULCHA-

I loved this dish from it's very first bite. The look & colors of the serving were very pretty to me and tasted the same as well. I have tasted cheese kulcha before as well, but I loved the crisp it carried. Perfect stuffing of cheese with some herbs, served with delicious fusion sides, is worth a try.

DHABA KADAI CHICKEN PIZZA-

Another amazing amalgamation of Deshi & Videshi ingredients was seen in this Pizza. I loved the taste of chicken chunks with the cheese and pizza sauce but only thing that was a turn off was its non-crispy crust. Pizza lovers will drool over this one for sure.

BACON CHEESE KULCHA-

This dish spreaded a rave amongst people because of its unique ingredients all together. Never heard about Bacon being stuffed in flour and cooked in Tandoor style. People, who are bacon's fan, must try on this stuffed bread as it is going to take you on a food pleasure ride.

DAHI BHALLE KI KULFI-

The word "Kulfi" means a kind of an Indian ice-cream served in various flavors. When I heard about this dish, I started brainstorming about what exactly this be made of. The reality came completely opposite to my assumptions, it was a delicious Kulfi made by blending the actual dahi bhallas & freeze them in a kulfi mould. Garnished with curd, pomegranate seeds, fresh cut salad and Indori sev, this dish was a true surprise for my taste buds.

CORN SHOWDER PAV WALA-

This soup made me remember the delicious cream of mushrooms soup from "Panera Bread". Super creamy with loads of veggies, this soup is a treat for people having a delicate inclination towards cream & cheese. I love the serving style and the fact that the bowl in which the soup was served was equally tasty & edible.

TOMATO THAI CAPPUCCINO SOUP-

I turned out a lover for this soup. Being a coffee addict, the name itself swiped me off the floor and the presentation killed the rest of me. It was an authentic tomato soup with Thai spices which smelled and tasted delicious. The presence of the word "Cappuccino" was for a dense froth covering the soup. No matter if you are a soup lover, you got to try this one.

MAGHAI PAN PANACOTTA-

The beauty of being served by a celebrity Chef is truly witnessed in his/her dishes. None of the dish I tasted, had some usual or routine feel. This unusual dessert was Pan indulged with finely whipped coconut cream. We all witnessed the final processe where it was perfectly soaked into Nitrogen and served beautifully. The blend of frozen pan with the cream tasted extremely delicious and it was a perfect refreshing dessert.

CHOCOLATE CHAPPAN BHOG-

Hear out loud all the chocolate lovers, this beautiful dessert is worth dying for or probably killing for.

It had everything related to chocolate, from ice-creams, to brownie, to chocolate sticks, to rum balls, to small rasgullas, to caramel, to nuts, to everything. I am not an Ice-cream person, but went drooling over delicious dark chocolate scoop. The name "Chappan Bhog", which means almost everything in a serving, stood truly with this delicious dessert.

FREAK SHAKE-

The very first statement I gave after watching this shake was- "Is it a Devil shake for devils?". Topped to its brim, this freak shake was a treat to me. It had multiple ingredients but red velvet, jellies, and strawberry syrup dominated the most. Very sweet to taste, this shake is a refreshing serving for all those who never keeps a count for calories.

COCONUT LITCHI CRUSH-

I stumbled upon this interesting drink in the menu & couldn't stop myself from ordering it. Again served in an unusual way, this drink was a perfect romance of coconut and litchi with adequate amount of sweetness. It was very refreshing and gave a perfect climax to my eateries.

In all, it was a wonderful experience tasting all these delicious fusions dishes, prepared & styled by Celebrity Chef Mr. Shailendra Kekade. It was a great feeling tasting all the incredible dishes served by the Chef himself, which shows off his extreme gentleness & supreme talent.

The entire team of O2 Cafe De La Ville, the management, the Chefs, everyone associated with the place, were too generous, humble and interactive.

Last, but my favorite, thanks to Indore Bloggers Association & Indori Zayka, for coming up with such events & gatherings, which not only shows off the emerging lifestyles of our city, but also giving us some precious moments together, adorned forever.

XOXO..
