A RUGGED INDIAN WOMAN!

Namaste people!
There have been a lot of stories, definitions, discussions on an Indian woman's image. Some portrays her to be an epitome of ethics wrapped around her, some has an image of wild & free who cares nothing about the society teaching her ethical wearing- I believe in both!
Perceptions are too different and they definitely collides hard, but true beauty comes out strongly. I always try to stick myself to the grounds and explore the scale I can work on.

For a blogger, it is very essential to come up with something new, other than the usual, yet really connecting. The current concept was doing rounds in my head since very long but was not getting a proper medium to work on.
Half of the 2017 year has passed, and all the fashionistas are suggesting to look twenty & feel seventeen, and I could not agree more.
We like to stay updated all the time when it comes to fashion. Indian fashion industry is constantly progressing & entering the international markets positively. You cannot always wear lehengas or sarees for parties or any get-togethers that involves family. Haute couture has witnessed a lot of Indian fashion involvement turning out extremely gorgeous.
We do not like to repeat same patterned dresses, as we do not buy ethnic clothes much often like the casuals & western clothes. Trying out Indo-western outfit can be much fun and will not be boring at all.
There are plenty of Indo-western outfits that are raving around the fashion industry. Recent Lakme Fashion Week witnessed a lot of these outfits presented by the elite designers on the ramp. This year we witnessed new trends like Anarkali Gowns, Sawlar Jumpsuits, Salwar & Off- Shoulder Poncho, Skirt Chooridar, Fringed/Culotte Sarees, and many more.
I am writing about a look which is very quick & ravishing & will make you stand out of the crowd.

All you need is a basic solid color crop top, basic jeggings and an over-sized dupatta with few safety pins. I wore my super favorite black crop top from "Westside", with super comfortable jeggings again from "Westside". Well, this is a look which you can carry off anywhere. When paired with sneakers, good to go out with your friends for a coffee, when paired with stilettos or pumps, good to go to any fancy lunch/dinner place.

I would love to talk about this dupatta as it is the sole element which is bringing an ethnic touch to the entire look. This over-sized cotton dupatta is a custom made piece which has different patches all over it. It carries the beauty of my State's (M.P) art work "KALAMKARI" patch, patch of "BAGRU" from Rajasthan, patch of "DABU" (Rajasthan), and the classic block print. Beautifully placed patches of different art work, makes this dupatta an extremely gorgeous & classic piece. You can see a lot of celebrities adoring this pattern & fabric on themselves.

The draping part was real fun as it took us literal 2 minutes to get it done on me. I am going to upload a quick video of this entire look in my next blog for sure. I really love how this dupatta is spreading all pretty vibes over a basic clothing.

I have always been a fan of jewelry, be it Indian, contemporary, boho, minimal. I picked this piece from my mom's collection of antiques and this went perfectly well with the outfit. Accessories have a pretty role in your entire make up, if used wisely, they pull around magic everywhere.

These outfits can be trendy, sexy or elegant, depending on how you want them to be, without losing the touch of the Indian culture.
I am really glad how these pictures came out in real, truly stood up to my vision. I hope all you women out there might use this look over yourself at least once.

Let me know if you all loved this post, my new look, my efforts in bringing something new, by commenting right here in the box.
XOXO..
