PERKS OF BEING HERE- Beginning of July called out for an amazing trip to the south. This month being my favorite as it is my birthday month and of course the rains. But this time it was more special because it had my best friend's wedding, concluded by a short vacation.
Well, if I talk about Mahabalipuram, it is one of the beautiful places in south India. It has a dream world of Tamil arts and exhibits.
Nearby to Chennai, this pretty place has got several amusing and historic spots. I couldn't take out much time here to explore places because my best friend's wedding was on my mind, but I somehow managed to sneak out for some hours for street hopping.

Mahabalipuram surprised me in every way. There is so much to do and explore in this small place. I was really mesmerized with the southern aura. As I mentioned earlier that I had a wedding to attend, I still tried to capture the best of it.
It was a theme wedding that took place at "The Temple Bay, Radisson" , and my favorite part from it were so many but I could capture only few moments as I was lost in the wedding.
Pool carnival took the attention of all the people in the wedding, the decoration, the concept, the colors were beautiful (you can get an idea from the video).

After having the most beautiful memories of the wedding and the place, we headed off to Pondicherry for a short vacation.

The Le Dupleix hotel that we chose for our stay, gave us an incredible experience. This designer boutique hotel leaves an incredible mark over the history of architecture as well as over the hospitality.
The Sea side promenade tops the list when it comes to live with the French side of Pondicherry. Beautifully stretched and maintained. I could spend endless hours here.
I am still drooling over the French streets of this city, as it follows the grid pattern. Every street will somehow lead you to the beach side, so there are no chances to get lost in the zig-zag patterns.
The first thing that comes to mind for Pondicherry is the beach part and trust me the beaches here carries a distinct beauty which is the most gorgeous part.
I think I have developed this habit of concluding every trip with an entire shopping day. Well, Pondi has got great places for all the shopping lovers, right from the good brands and their flagship stores to the local and street hauls.
If peace and a break is the most craved desire, then Pondicherry is surely one of the choicest holiday destinations in South India.
